The cutest little, fastest growing winter farmers market just gets better and better, with new vendors joining the fun each week. This week, we’ll welcome ReginaSpices, from Portland, Maine, a one-woman spice shop offering everything you need to complement the fresh foods you’ll be buying from our other vendors.
Jessica Regina has been grinding, blending and dreaming up spice blends for several years, and she formerly owned a spice shop in downtown Portland. Although her path in life took her in new directions over the years, she never lost her passion for spicing things up, so continues her business in more intimate settings, like farmers markets. Jessica’s mom lives in Center Ossipee, and recently alerted her about the Wolfeboro Area Farmers Market.
Jessica makes and sells spice blends, rubs and seasonings, using locally produced ingredients where she can, like Maine maple sugar, Maine sea salt and locally roasted coffee. Among other yummy blends she’ll be offering at the market, she’ll offer a few classics like her “Herbes de Provence.” Most of her blends are unique to ReginaSpices, like “Sweet, Smoky, Fire,” “Star Anise-Vanilla Sugar,” “Jalapeno-Lime Salt” or her newest creation, which is a coffee rub.
Please welcome Jessica to the farmers market and stop by for a sniff and a taste. She’ll have recipe cards with her too and will be sampling one or two dips at her table.
The market is open Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Remember to help spread the word to friends and neighbors—and bring one or two or three of them with you to the market!
Oh, and hey! Remember to bring those knives for sharpening!
