Meet Colleen Hoitt of Farmington’s Rosemoon Soaps, one of Wolfeboro Area Farmers Market’s new 2015 vendors and soapmaker extraordinare. Colleen has been making artisanal soaps and skincare products for many years, a business born out of a desire for chemical-free, natural, plant-based products for herself and her family. Since her humble beginnings, her product line has evolved into a beautiful array of bar, liquid and cream soaps, as well as bodycare products, natural cosmetics and massage oils. All are made from scratch, in small, handcrafted batches.
Many of Colleen’s products are based on herbal infusions made from plants in her own garden or locally wildcrafted. According to Colleen, “It all starts in the garden, combining herbalism, aromatherapy and natural ingredients.” She’s committed to using local, organic and fair trade ingredients whenever possible, and loves to talk about and respond to questions about her products. You’ll find scents to appeal to all in the family, as well as an ever-popular rainbow-colored bar soap for celebration occasions.
You’ll also find potted plants, berries and cut flowers at her colorful booth—an infusion of springtime scents and colors from nature. Stop by and check out her booth this Thursday!
This week’s market will feature fiddle, guitar and banjo music from the wonderful singer/songwriter Shana Aisenberg.
See you at the market!
