The Wolfeboro Area Farmers Market had a sunny (mostly?) and successful (totally!) opening day last week for its 16th summer market. With 30 vendors and counting, Clark Park was jam packed with local produce, meats, eggs, honey, cheese, dairy products, coffee, herbal products, lots of baked goods and even ice cream and lobster. Four-legged visitors (always welcome, if they’re on a leash and have good manners) found treats at the market, too. Have a look at our vendor page for more details about what you can find at the summer market!
Local acoustic musician Shana Aisenberg set the vibe from the center of the lawn. The Wolfeboro Area Farmers Market board of directors is so appreciative of the musicians who bring their talent to the market, and we hope you’ll show them your appreciation, too, by dropping a donation in the hat when you pass by! The market is still recruiting more musicians to fill the summer schedule. Call Karen Haeger at 603.334.8378 or email her if you’re interested. This week, we’ll welcome Beverly Woods.
June is such a sweet and gentle time in Wolfeboro. Of course, we all look forward to the influx of summer visitors to the market, but we appreciate this time too, as a time for neighbors and friends to welcome summer together at Clark Park. Please help us to spread the word in any way you can about the market. If you have a place to put out a few market brochures, stop by the manager’s tent to pick up a few.
Most of all, thanks for supporting the market by shopping and bringing your friends!
