What’s Cooking at the Market?

At this week’s market, we’ll enjoy a visit from Joy Gagnon of UNH Cooperative Extension, Carroll County. Joy works as a Program Associate in the Nutrition Connections program, and will have lots of good info about incorporating fresh farmers market veggies and other foods into your diet.  She’ll focus on the nutritional value of spinach and greens, which are abundant at the market right now.
Even better, for those of us who learn best through tasting, Joy will share a recipe with us, too. Stop by for a taste of some yummy black bean and veggie quesadillas! We know what you’ll be cooking tomorrow night!
The market is swinging into its full summer rhythm now. Please continue to spread the word; YOU are making this year’s market a vibrant, community event, so keep talking it up. If you need a few brochures to spread around, stop by at the manager’s tent in the middle of the green.
Many thanks to Joy Gagnon and UNH Cooperative Extension for bringing nutrition and cooking wisdom to the market!
